Why do you do what you do?

I spent around five years, part time, exploring how websites get traffic.  I then spent another five years, full time in professional ‘affiliate marketing’ online and working on Google Adwords campaigns for businesses all over the world.

'Affiliate marketing' is driving traffic to other people’s websites and getting paid only for the purchases that your traffic makes. 

Tricky, as I did only get paid for results.  But I made a really good living.

And why did you start angelfysh?

There’s a need for good specialist search engine people within the high level design and marketing environment.

onebestway is an award winning full agency based in Newcastle.  They approached me to see if I’d work exclusively with their clients under a new brand which they created.

I said yes.

Isn’t it normally boys who do this kind of thing?

I suppose that traditionally it is.  But angelfysh is different in many ways. 

We won’t over promise, we don’t use silly jargon, we are specialist amongst a team of other International award winning specialists (as opposed to dabblers) and we just concentrate on getting you listed.

And anyway, girls are better than boys.

How do you measure what you do?

We produce little reports.  And they are little.

We’ll tell you how you are performing, in Google, Yahoo and MSN, for the keywords and phrases we decided on together.

That’s all you need to know really.

What else do you do? As well as getting websites listed in search engines that is.

Yes.  Two more.

Firstly, angelfysh provide website support services:

• Hosting (somewhere for your website to be)
• Domain names (your website address)
• Professional email addresses
• Statistical trackers (find out how many people visit your website and what they do when they’re there)

And secondly, angelfysh provide email marketing. 

This is emailable newsletters and flyers with complex trackers.  Much cheaper than traditional mail, and totally measurable.
